DANCE ATTIRE
When students are traveling to and from the studio, please make sure that they wear street shoes and a cover-up (a non-dance class shirt and pants) over their dance attire. When in the dance classroom, please use the following guidelines.
All Classes
No sweatshirts, t-shirts, baggy shorts, baggy pants or outside street shoes are allowed in dance classes.
Hair must be completely off face and neck for all classes, and it must be secured (in a bun or equivalent)
with a hairnet for ballet.
No necklaces, bracelets or drop earrings.
Ballet / Pointe
Solid color leotard - any style (no sequins or tutus)
Pink, tan or black tights - no nylons
Pink ballet (or pointe) shoes with elastic
Black fitted lycra shorts or chiffon skirt above knee-length acceptable - no pants
Hairnet to secure bun is required
Jazz
Solid color leotard or fitted dance top
Black full length, capri pants or fitted lycra shorts
Pink, tan or black tights required with pants shorter than knee
Black or tan jazz shoes
Tap
Same as above, except for black or tan tap shoes
Hip Hop
Solid color leotard or tight fitting top (no writing on shirt)
Dance pants or capris, must be longer than knees or tights are required
Black or tan jazz shoes
Hair must be completely off the face and neck (ponytail(s), braids, bun, etc.)
Please use clips, bobby pins or headbands to keep bangs & “wispies” out of eyes
Lyrical
Solid color leotard or fitted dance top
Pink, tan or black tights - no nylons
Black fitted lycra shorts or chiffon skirt above knee-length acceptable - no long pants
Pink ballet, tan or black jazz or lyrical shoes
* PLEASE NOTE *
A royal blue leotard or fitted dance top is required for all Visitors’ weeks (at the end of Session I and II) 
and for guest teachers.
