Bluestone Academy Dancers

If you like dancing and performing in front of an audience, please consider auditioning for our Company or Competition Group. The Bluestone Academy Dancers perform at parades, preschool, local nursing homes, libraries, Six Flags, Downers Grove Heritage Fest and even Walt Disney World!

If you are in fifth grade or higher and take a few dance classes a week, you could be part of this amazing group of dancers. The COMPANY meets once a week for the Company class where dancers of many ages and levels dance together to inspire one another in technique and style. Depending on your age and experience, you will be cast in one or more dances with weekly rehearsals.

For those dancers with a more intense passion for dance, we also have our COMPETITION GROUP. Members of the Company who want to dance with a truly dedicated group of fellow dancers eager to increase their technique, flexibilty and stage presence can audition to be a member of the Competition Group. By taking a few more classes each week, these dancers hone their skills to be truly amazing in local area competitions. Many of our dancers have won scholarships and titles from these Competitions.

Auditions for Company and Competition Group are every year at the end of the Spring Semester.

We also have our MINI TROUPE which is a group of younger dancers from first grade through sixth grade who are recommended individually by their ballet teachers to perform with the Company. No audition is required.
